Mighty Mix Jack Russell Race

Rules:

1. Entrants must be of Jack Russell breed and standard Jack Russell size.
2. The $20 entry fee will cover 1 x 1-day exhibitor pass, and a 1-day parking pass (Thursday only) in the Dog Trials parking area.
3. On arrival at The Show on the Thursday competitors must proceed straight to the Mighty Mix tent adjacent to the Mighty Mix Dog Trials arena to receive their registration tags – one for dog and one for owner.
4. The race will be held at approximately 3.15pm Thursday 16 November in the main arena, all competitors please assemble at the entrance to the Main Arena, opposite the Woodchopping Arena 15 minutes prior.  All competitors to ideally have a dog attendant at the start and the finish line.
5. All dogs must be on leads at all times unless racing and not left unattended on the grounds. Only dogs entered in the race are permitted to be on the grounds, any without race identification will be asked to leave immediately.
6. The race will be run as one heat.  A video may be used to determine the winner, and the judges decision is final.
7. A desirable scent will be dragged in front of all dogs as an enticement to get to the other end as quickly as possible.
8. The length of the race is approximately 100 metres.
9. Identification of your Mighty racer via “dress ups” is encouraged.
10. The presentations to the placegetters will be in front of the Bayleys Members Marquee immediately following the race.
