Rural and remote communities in New Zealand face unique challenges in providing access to quality mental health services. Individuals living in rural New Zealand report poorer mental health than those living in urban communities.
Located on the embankment, this new and innovative space provides rural New Zealanders with efficient access to existing mental health services organisations. It addresses the importance of overcoming the stigma around mental health challenges, focusing on confronting mental illness in rural communities through education and connection with support services. This area will have a farm gate in front of it showcasing 'lean on a gate, chat to a mate' mental health campaign.
